Wellan: a small-business site delivered on time
On time from brief to launch
The client
Wellan is a small business whose website is its storefront. No in-house tech team, no appetite for a six-month project. Just a clear need: a site that looks professional, loads fast, and doesn’t require babysitting.
The problem
Small-business web projects fail in predictable ways: scope creep, missed dates, and handoffs that leave the owner unable to update their own site. Wellan needed the opposite: a fixed scope, a real date, and a result that works without a developer on retainer.
What we did
- Turned a short discovery conversation into a concrete, fixed scope (pages, content, launch date) before any code was written.
- Designed and built a fast, responsive site tuned for the business it represents, not for a design award.
- Brought ideas to the table instead of waiting for a spec: navigation, content structure, and calls-to-action were shaped collaboratively.
- Launched on the agreed date. That part shouldn’t be remarkable, but in this industry it is.
The result
- Delivered on time, exactly as scoped.
- A site the owner describes as looking fantastic and functioning perfectly. His words, not ours (see below).
“I hired Cody to develop my website, and he did an outstanding job! The site looks fantastic, functions perfectly, and was delivered on time. Cody was professional, responsive, and brought great ideas to the table. I'm thrilled with the result and would highly recommend him for any web development project!”
